A total of 12,000 students have started their 2024 Uganda Allied Health Examination Board across the country.

The Uganda Allied Health Examination Board (UAHEB) Executive Director, Joseph Agondua, said the exams that commenced on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, are being conducted from 223 centers in 72 registered training institutions.

He says exams are scheduled to run for three consecutive weeks, and this session features 30 accredited programs, with 280 students taking their final year exams.

According to him, the examinations include candidates enrolled in a special amnesty program.
“The amnesty program was established to provide an opportunity for individuals who were unable to complete their courses previously,” said Agondua.

Agondua cautioned both students and other stakeholders to strictly uphold the board’s core values during the examinations.

“Negligence on your part can have a significant impact on everyone involved,” he cautioned.

The Uganda Allied Health Examinations Board was established by the BTVET Act of 2008, and it is mandated to streamline, regulate, and coordinate examinations and awards in the allied health profession throughout Uganda.
