Rema, Ayra Starr, D’banj And Bien Win Big At The 2025 Trace Awards In Zanzibar

Nigerian artistes Rema, Mercy Chinwo, D’banj and Ayra Starr were among the big winners at the 2025 Trace Awards.

Rema secured two major awards, winning ‘Album of the Year’ for Heis and ‘Best Male Artist’. Ayra Starr was recognised as the ‘Best West African Artist’.

Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo took home the ‘Best Gospel Artist’ award for her soulful and inspiring music, while D’banj received the prestigious ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ in recognition of his contributions to the music industry.

Other Nigerian winners included P.Priime, who won ‘Best Producer’ for ‘MMS,’ and Meji Alabi, who earned ‘Best Music Video’ for directing Rema’s ‘DND’.

The 2025 Trace Awards took place on Wednesday, February 26, at the stunning Mora Resort in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
