President Museveni has appointed singer Eddy Kenzo as a presidential advisor on creatives.
The appointment was announced on Wednesday.
Friends and close relatives took to social media to congratulate Kenzo upon the appointment.
Kenzo’s wife, and state minister for energy in charge of minerals, Phiona Nyamutoro joined those congratulating the singer.
“Congratulations upon your well deserved appointment. I am proud of you as always,” Nyamutoro posted on her social media accounts.
Minister for Youth, Balaam Baruhagara also congratulated Kenzo.
“This is a well deserved recognition of your talent, hard work and dedication to the arts. Your creativity and passion have inspired countless individuals and we cant wait to see the impact you will make in this new role,” Barugahara said.
Kenzo is also the president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) .
