Following his surprise move of dismissing his entire cabinet and only retaining his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, some Ugandans now in desire that Ruto be Uganda’s president like for two weeks to weed out the thieves in government.

Ruto is not the first Kenyan president to dissolve cabinet, H.E Emilio Stanley Mwai Kibaki the 3rd president of the Republic of Kenya also fired his entire cabinet in November 2005 just a day after a humiliating defeat over a proposed constitution in the first-ever referendum in Kenya.

In another dramatic turn of events, Ugandans are surprised that Ruto only had only 23 Cabinet Secretaries (Ministers) unlike Museveni who has a whooping cabinet of close to 85 ministers both cabinet and state.

One particular Ugandan, former New Vision boss Robert Kabushenga has requested Kenya’s GenZ to send Ruto to Uganda for like just a month.

Taking to his X formerly Twitter account, Kabushenga called on the very fearless and determined GenZ who forced Ruto into several changes in his cabinet and government spending to allow Ruto to come to Uganda to be president and deal with the Mabati thieves, parliament thieves, hospital thieves etc etc.

Kenyan Gen Z: Can you send us Ruto to UG for like two weeks only🤔?. We have mabaati thieves, coffee thieves, parliament thieves, stolen hospital, basically the country’s future is being stolen. We only need him for like a month, tops. If he can do for us just 50% of what he has…

Critics have punched holes in Museveni’s renewed rhetoric on corruption with some saying it’s just politics as usual despite creating several units to fight corruption; Inspectorate of Government, State House Anti Corruption Unit, State House Investors’ Protection Unit, State House Health Monitoring Unit and the recently launched State House Revenue Intelligence and Strategic Operations Unit.

Sources reveal the president also set to create more anti-corruption units including one in the offing to look out for the corruption in parliament.

Just similar to the GenZ uprising in Kenya, Ugandans on X formerly Twitter are coordinating a peaceful #Match2Parliament Match on the 23rd of this Month Parliament in protest of the corruption said to be spreading like wildfire inside the August House which Museveni has also decried in his recent addresses.

Five members of parliament are currently in Luzira prison facing corruption-related charges while one Minister Amos Lugoloobi and two former Ministers Mary Goreti Kitutu and Agnes Nanduutu are also facing corruption charges since last year over the diverted Karamoja Iron sheets.
