Set to take place from May 31 to June 3, 2024, at Nile Nest Resort, the highly anticipated Vumbula Uganda Festival is making a triumphant return to Jinja following last year’s successful event that drew thousands of attendees.

The three-day extravaganza promises to showcase the best of Ugandan art, music, culture, and cuisine, offering festival-goers an immersive experience like no other.

The festivities will kick off on Friday, May 31, with a grand opening day featuring a stellar lineup of artists, cultural performances, tourism activities, art exhibitions, craft displays, and live band performances, among other exciting activities.

Organized by Vumbula Events Uganda, the festival boasts over 200 acts set to headline the event, ensuring a diverse and captivating experience for all attendees against the picturesque backdrop of Jinja.

“We are thrilled to present another edition of the Vumbula Festival in Jinja over the Uganda Martyrs weekend, celebrating our rich culture, delicious food, vibrant music, and colorful dance. We invite all tourism enthusiasts to join us for this fantastic celebration,” said Peter Sebulime, CEO of Vumbula Uganda.

Sebulime also emphasized the festival’s commitment to safety, reassuring attendees that adequate security measures will be in place to ensure a secure and magical experience for all.

Under the theme “Investing in the Green Legacy of the Nile,” the festival will also include a tree planting session, with 300 trees set to be planted as part of efforts to preserve the Nile River, the world’s longest river.

With non-stop entertainment throughout the event, the Vumbula festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of Uganda’s rich cultural heritage and diversity.
